I haven't updated in a while, sorry. The main reson is becuase I got to Rose on Friday and didn't get my laptop till today.

College hasn't hit me yet. it just feels like camp. that will all change on thurday when classes begin and life ends.

I love my friends here. They're pretty awesome.
I probably fell this way for two reasons...
    1) I haven't seen them in a year and i miss them
    2) I haven't been around these friends long enough yet to be in fights with them or notice their small but annoying imperfections.

Besides that, life is going well.

I should be in b-town this weekend. Call me if you want to hang out.

WARNING: a part of this entry may sounds like one of Allen's entries.

Yesterday was the first Monday all summer that I didn't have to get up at 5:15! yesssss. Instead I got up at 8:30 and spent 3 hours cleaning out my closet (not metephorically) and ended up thworing away 2 trash bags worth of stuff.

Barbie and Ben Buckner came over and we watch The Great Mouse Detective. Correction, I watches The Great Mouse Detective, Barbie and Ben did AP Chem homework that Mrs. Wolfe sent them to do over the summer. Hey, remember when we had to go to highschool?

Barbie and I then went to campaingers where I was able to say a few more goodbyes.

Next stop was Emily's house. Emily and I went to starbucks and then went back to her house and watch a little Sex and The City. I only have 4 hours left and I HAVE to finish before Friday.

After that we went to HAJ's house (Harrison, Allison, and Julia). When we walked in we saw Patrick, Allen, Natalie, and Billy moshing. It was funny.

At one point Emily, Natalie, and I ran into the other room to discuss confidential things about our new council. While we were gone some of the boys threw me and Emily's purses into the bathroom where Harrison had just gotten out of the shower.
Harrison comes out with Emily's purse in his hand and says "Who's is this?"
    Emily: "It's mine"
Harrison: "ok so who's is this then?" (Harrison then spreads his legs and my purse fell uot from under his towel).

    Sick,

    But funny all the same.

Basically I hung out there tille 3 or 4 ish. It was pretty fun. We palyed a lot of twister and my legs and arms hurt really bad.

It wasn't normal twister though, we made up our own rules and they make the game a ton more fun.we'll have to play again before I leave.

The only time I won was against Ben and he was slightly impaired.

Sara Marquez rocks at Twister, just in case you were wondering.

Ok Thursday night Angela wanted to have a fondue party at my house with the fondue set that she bouth me for my b-day from Urban Outfitters.

It was just me angela and nay and the fondue set and some strawberries and bananas and chocolate of course.

So in order to do fondue you have to have an open flame. well we couldn't figure out how to light the thing that came with it and there were no instructions :(

after 20+ failed attempts including the use of paper, matches, and oil from a campfire lamp, I microwaved the chocolate.

Angela took one bite and was done, it was not worth the trouble.

Then we went downstairs and played the Sex and the City board game. All of the answers were either Elizabeth Taylor or Petrovsky. Lame game.

Friday night way the UA dance party and is sucked. basically. there was a ton of drama and lame people and i hated them.

Today it took me 2.5 hours to clean my bathroom and 2.5 hours to drive to terre Haute to pick up Joe. That should tell you how dirty my bathroom was.

    "Summertime"
today, at work, me and angela, we made products!

we got to go to the production area and make drainage valves with some other special thing attatched. It was a big reminder of how important a college degree is so that I will never have to do this as a full time job. But I guess it was fun to see.

We also got to put stickers with adresses on 1,111 envelopes. Thrilling.

My supervisor hates me and I haven't said a word to him in 2 days, we only exchange evil glares.

My mom bought me gas today, it made me happy.

"move over, yeah, don't do it over. cause it's over, yeah yeah yeah"

name that song and I will smile at you.

Dance party friday, I'm really nervous cause D-Scott is gone.

Nay is leaving :( this is my last time to see her till......???

    octobie???

she can come to rose, no worries mate.

ok let's see, today is Tuesday. well then last night (monday night) I went bowling with people from work at classic lanes and it was a ton of fun! I did horrible of course, my best score from 3 games was a 108 but it was fun anyway. The guy at the counter gave me these awesome bowling shoes to wear that looked liek 80's shoes that girls wold wear to school with their tight jeans that were rolled up to their calves and the socks with the frills on them. Good stuff.

I'm at work now, risking getting yelled at. I got yelled at yesterday and was so pissed off.

    hates it

Today at lunch we're all sitting there (Maria, Angela, Me, Lindsay, Kim and Ricky) when Ricky goes "I saw some tits last night."

We all looked at each other like "did we hear him right?"

    then finally I go. "tits?"

and ricky responded with a story abotu how he was downtown and thie IU girl who went to south drove up and flashed him and his buddies and how it was a "once and a lifetime" thing.

Boys are controlled by the thought of getting laid.

Tonight me and Maria are planning on handing otu flyers for the next Urban Assault Dance Party. Fun Stuff.

I hate being judged by a group of girls who think that we're devils just because we're not mormons. Other than that the birdal Shower was fun. The best part was when Maria walked in with super short shorts on and all of the mormon girls looked her up and down and looked at each other with shocked faces and me and Nay were laughing and pulling our shirts down to cover our midrifts.

I don't think that the way you dress should have anything to do with your religion. It's a representation of yourself, not of what you beileve to be good and true.

Last week of work and already I'm slacking off by doing this instead of cleaning test tubes or testing bioburden.

I just spent all day shopping.

My mom spent close to $1000. Granted she did buy a $300 wedding dress, but still that's a lot of money for less than 5 hours.

Whenever we go to the fashion mall I feel like I'm entered in a competition. It's between my mom and I and all of the other mother-daughter couples there. They look at us and judge us on our jeans and t-shirts and we look at them and judge how they're wearing "daddy's money" (not hard earned like our own). So today I turned the tables. I work my cutest of stiletto heels and my Abercrombie jacket. Take that Fashion Mall girls! Ha!

On the other hand, my feet hurt :(

I did have a really fun time just me and my mom. I appriciate her a lot.

Me and Nay are almost done with the 5th season of Sex and the City. Almost there... only 5 days left!

Hey, swing dancing is fun, you should give it a shot.

I still haven't recieved a bracelet from Sara and for this I am sad.

ok, time to go to Whitney's surprise Bridal Shower!!! (it's really more like an engagement party)

Only 6.5 days of work left (I'm at work right now). I was a little upset abotu leaving until i came in todya nd found 5 racks of test tubes (72 test tubes per rack). This wouldnt' be so upsetting except for the fact that they're not the normal, no bacteria, negative, test tubes that I usually clean. No, these test tubes have had bacteria, some dangerous and all extremely smelly, living in them but is has all been killed in the autoclave. Still... they smell and upset me. Hence why I'm hiding by the computer pretending to look up where Enterobacter-intermedius and vibrio-hollisae come from.

Hey, today is thursday and I can't do my usual Kept routine with Nay since the show is over.

    I like this song...

    "Now I 'aint sayin' she's a golddigger,
but she 'aint messin' with no broke niggas"

--Golddigger, Kanye West ft. Jaime Foxx

It has an old school rap vibe to it.

What does a Room have one of and a Corner have two of?

    Answer will be posted tomorrow.

    Joke of te day:

Two blonds walk in to a tanning salon and one of te blonds says, "Two tans please".
The cashier rings them up and says, "Are you two sisters?"
One of the blonds replies, "Sister? No, we're not even Catholic!".

Yesterday I bought a backpack. It might not seem that great to you, but until yesterday I've had the same backpack for 8 years! (not an exaggeration)

I also had some pictures developed from target and they made me smile. Most of them were from people's grad parties. YAY!

I also hit on the target guy in front of my mom. my mom liked it...

mom: "You are such a flirt!"
me: "I know, but isn't he cute?"
    mom: "Yeah, really nice smile."

    loves it.

Michelle (my roomate in case you didnt' know) is comming to Vegas with me in October for my mom's wedding!!! We are more excited than anything. My plan is to go in a casino and flirt with an old rich man so that he will give me some chips and I can poker it up and then have him cash the chips in (since I'm obviously not 21). Good plan right? The outfit will make or break it.

They say that 30% of your memory is retained from movies, tv, and music. They're at least 50% of mine. AT LEAST.

Yesterday Naomi and I went swimming and she obsessed about how we should go over to these 3 hot guys and lay down on them just to see how they react. I wasn't up for it... bad hair day :/

The IU pool is better, no question.

We went grocery shopping and bought fried chicken and tater tots to eat while watching Sex and the City. It made us feel fat and greasy. Oh well.

We're on season 4 of 6. Almost there!

    Here's the math...

6 seasons x 3 disks per season x 6 episodes per disk = The reason why my memory is 50% and yours is only 30%.

Oh Oh It's Magic... You know
Friday night was intresting. Angela, Frank* and I all went out to dinner at Esan Thai which is now officially my new favorite restaurant (*Angela's 7-year-old brother). Then the three of us went to see Sky High. This was my second time seeing it and let me tell you that it was just as good, if not better, the second time.

My favorite part of the movie goes as follows...

    Lehla: "Wow, that's really deep."

Warren Peace: "and your lucky numbers are 24 32 29 and 60."

Do yourself a favor and see this movie.

Then Angela and I went downtown and hung out with Anna and the band with the brothers that all love each other. (refer to Anna's livejournal for more details)

After that we proceded to the Union for a little billiards with Chloie, Sam and B-Carl.

Saturday consisted of Shopping downtown with Nay for Swing Dancing outfits which we were both successful at finding. We also signed a pettition to end fighting in Iraq. (that was for you little Jon ;) )

As always we finished shopping with 4 hours of Sex and the City.

Then I was off to Urban Assault. I only have 2 shows and one dance party left <insert a tear and a sad face here>. All around it was a fun show. Pam Thrash called in which was sweet.

After UA I went to Whitney's house and her and her brother taught me the basics af swing dancing so I can practice for Friday! Then we watched Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. It was like the good old days of Musical Club all over again...

I also got to see/try on Whitney's engagement ring and let me just say that it is almost EXACTLY what I want for myself.

"It's just the pheromones. Face it, we're all just animals reacting to a bunch of smells."

This was my favorite quote from the 3 hours of Sex and the City that me and Nay watched last night.

We also watched the finale of Kept (our reality show replacement for the OC) and were disappointed when she chose Seth over Austen.

Time to go to work and FINALLY get rid of my smelly bacteria so everyone can quit complaining.

With that I would like to add an unrelated story.

At my job I find bacteria where it's not supposed to be, grow more of it, and then identify it. The bacteria that I found inside some test tubes and am now growing STINKS! It's to the point where at least once every half an hour someone in the lab makes a "gees Sophia, that stinks!" comment. Sorry people, it's bacteria that I need for my study and I can absolutely in no way control it's stench.

    Falling to Pieces
The only good part of my life in the last week has been hanging out with Naomi which happened on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday , Monday, and Tuesday. We took yesterday off. I estimated a total of 35 hours of Naomi time in those days which averages to 5 hours a day. Intense.

In other news... I'm giving up on having girls as friends (minus a select few). This is in effect now and for the rest of the summer. It's a good thing I choose Rose where there's an 8:1 ratio of men to women :)
So if you're a guy that wants a new "girl as a friend" let me know.

Only three weeks of work left and I've learned enough to get me though at least a week of microbiology at Rose.

Question of the week: If you were giving someone a lapdance, what song would it be too?

    I would pick "don't cha"
Hate the song, but it fits perfectly.

    KILLERS extravaganza
Yesterday was the Killers concert. Naomi, Angela and I made it up to Indy fine and we even found free parking on a side street!. The plan was to go eat before the concert and after 30 minutes of walking in painful shoes (this only applies to Nay) we found this cute cafe that had sandwiches and pineapple upside down cake.

Then we walked to the Murat theater and I traded Nay shoes so she could walk faster. Now we both have huge cuts on our feet but it was worth it. We get to the theater and find our seats. Conner, the opening band plays, they were decent. We spotted a hot guy in the row behind us about 10 empty seats down so we moved over some. Eventually we moved over all the way so that Angela was infront of him. Then we decided that he's not that good looking after all and he might be gay :( . The concert started and Nay almost cried from excitement. The usher told us that we had to go back to our seats which worked out well since there were three wife-beater-wearing hick guys who had a bag of pot and commented "it's ass grabbing time" when we scotted by them. Sick. I sang along to the songs, Nay SCREAMED along to the songs and Angela stood there.

After the concert we walked around for 20ish minutes till we found my car. 30 minutes of driving around Indy later Angela figured out where we were and got us on the right street home.

We're driving down this road that takes us to highway 37 when we have to stop for a train. First the train is going to the right along the tracks at a speed that Nay "can power walk faster than". 5 minutes later the train stops and sits. Then it starts going to the left for about 5 minutes. Then it stops. Then it goes to the right for 5 minutes. Then it stops. Then it goes to the left and picks up speed and about 10 minutes and 50 digital camera pictures later we're on the road again.

Angela had Modest Mouse in the CD player but I almost fell asleep with isn't good since I was driving so we changed it to Gwen Stefani.

    Things that we learned:
    - Naomi drops liquids frequently.
    - Angela freaks out when water spills on her jeans even though it's 90 degrees outside and they will dry in 2 minutes.
    - I'm good at making sexy finger-in-mouth faces.
    - Naomi isn't.
    - Everything in Naomi's house has bird poop on it.
    - Naomi's new bed is amazing.
    - The lead singer of the Killers was hot.
    - If your shirt gets wet, just take it off and whirl it around outside of your window while you drive.
